Getting Started with Your Tenant
You just received your approval email and clicked the tenant dashboard link. Now you're looking at an interface with tabs, buttons, and options you didn't expect. Don't worry - you don't need to understand everything right now. This guide shows you exactly what you need for your first event and what you can explore later.
What Just Happened
When your event was approved, we automatically set up:
Your Organization Tenant - A permanent account for your organization
Your First Classroom - Already created and ready to use
Your First Game - The event you requested, pre-loaded with "A Scandal in Valdoria"
Full Management Access - You're the Tenant Manager with complete control
Your approval email included a link to your tenant dashboard. That's where you'll access your game link, add future events, and manage everything KC7-related for your organization.
Your First Visit to the Dashboard
The first time you log into your tenant dashboard, you might feel overwhelmed by options. Here's what actually matters for your first event:
What you need immediately:
Your classroom name (already created)
Your game link to share with participants (in the email and dashboard)
The event date you scheduled
What you can explore after your first event:
Adding more games
Creating additional classrooms
Customizing appearance
Managing users
Viewing analytics
Don't feel pressured to learn everything at once. Many successful hosts run multiple events while only using a tiny fraction of the tenant features.
Accessing Your Tenant Dashboard
Your approval email included a direct link to your tenant dashboard. Bookmark this link - you'll use it every time you want to manage games, view results, or add new events.
The URL typically looks like:
You can also access it by:

Customizing Your Classroom (Optional)
When you're ready to personalize your tenant, you can customize classroom appearance:

After saving, explore the "Class Details" tab to further personalize your classroom. Here, you can:
Upload a thumbnail image
Add a banner image
Select a color theme
This gives your classroom a unique look and feel that participants will see.

Why customize?
Professional appearance for corporate training
Brand alignment for educational institutions
Easier identification when managing multiple classrooms
Participant recognition and engagement
When to customize:
After running 2-3 successful events
When building an ongoing program
If branding matters to your organization
Never, if you don't care - plain works fine!
Common First-Time Questions
Do I need to do anything in the dashboard before my first event?
No! Your game is already set up. Just share the game link from your approval email and run your event. You can explore the dashboard afterward.
Where do I find my game link?
It's in your approval email, or navigate to: Dashboard β Your Classroom β View Modules β Your Game β Copy link
Can I add participants to my classroom before the event?
You can, but it's not necessary. Participants create accounts when they first access the game link. Pre-adding is useful for tracking specific users or requiring approval.
What happens if I accidentally delete something?
Games and classrooms can be deleted, but participant data is preserved. Contact [email protected] if you need to restore something.
Do I need to create a new classroom for each event?
No! One classroom can hold multiple games. Only create new classrooms when you want to organize truly different groups (e.g., "Beginners" vs "Advanced" or "Fall 2024" vs "Spring 2025").
How do I give someone else access to help manage?
Go to Users tab β Invite user β Choose permission level (Tenant Manager for full access, Classroom Manager for limited access)
