## Getting Started with Your Tenant

> **You just received your approval email and clicked the tenant dashboard link. Now you're looking at an interface with tabs, buttons, and options you didn't expect. Don't worry - you don't need to understand everything right now. This guide shows you exactly what you need for your first event and what you can explore later.**

### What Just Happened

When your event was approved, we automatically set up:

1. **Your Organization Tenant** - A permanent account for your organization
2. **Your First Classroom** - Already created and ready to use
3. **Your First Game** - The event you requested, pre-loaded with "A Scandal in Valdoria"
4. **Full Management Access** - You're the Tenant Manager with complete control

Your approval email included a link to your tenant dashboard. That's where you'll access your game link, add future events, and manage everything KC7-related for your organization.

### Your First Visit to the Dashboard

The first time you log into your tenant dashboard, you might feel overwhelmed by options. Here's what actually matters for your first event:

**What you need immediately:**

* Your classroom name (already created)
* Your game link to share with participants (in the email and dashboard)
* The event date you scheduled

**What you can explore after your first event:**

* Adding more games
* Creating additional classrooms
* Customizing appearance
* Managing users
* Viewing analytics

Don't feel pressured to learn everything at once. Many successful hosts run multiple events while only using a tiny fraction of the tenant features.

### Accessing Your Tenant Dashboard

Your approval email included a direct link to your tenant dashboard. Bookmark this link - you'll use it every time you want to manage games, view results, or add new events.

The URL typically looks like:

```
https://kc7cyber.com/dashboard/[your-tenant-name]
```

You can also access it by:

1. Going to [kc7cyber.com](https://kc7cyber.com)
2. Logging in with your account
3. Clicking your tenant name in the navigation

{% hint style="success" %}
**Pro tip:** Bookmark your tenant dashboard now. You'll refer back to it for every event you run.
{% endhint %}

### Understanding Your Dashboard Layout

When you first see your dashboard, here's what you're looking at:

#### Main Navigation

* **Home** - Overview of all your classrooms
* **Classrooms** - List of all your organizational groups
* **Users** - Manage co-hosts and participants
* **Settings** - Tenant-wide configurations

#### Classroom View

* **Class Details** - Name, description, and appearance
* **View Modules** - Your games (where you'll add new ones)
* **Students** - Participants enrolled in this classroom
* **Analytics** - Performance data for this classroom's games

#### Game/Module View

* **Game Link** - Share this with participants
* **Settings** - Game-specific configurations
* **Analytics** - Performance data for this specific game
* **Students** - Who's enrolled in this game

Don't worry about memorizing this structure. You'll naturally learn the layout as you use the features you need.

### What You Already Have Set Up

Great news! When your event was approved, we did the initial setup for you:

✅ **Your First Classroom** - Already created with a name based on your event request ✅ **Your First Game** - "A Scandal in Valdoria" pre-loaded and ready ✅ **Game Link** - Ready to share with participants (check your approval email) ✅ **Your Account** - Set as Tenant Manager with full permissions ✅ **STARTER Tier** - Your tenant starts with <code class="expression">space.vars.starter\_tier\_summary</code>—sufficient for getting started and running multiple events

{% hint style="success" %}
Your STARTER tier provides plenty of capacity to run multiple events and explore the platform. If you later need more (PROFESSIONAL: 50/100/500 or ENTERPRISE: unlimited), contact <code class="expression">space.vars.support\_email</code> to upgrade. Fee waivers are available for organizations aligned with KC7's philanthropic mission.
{% endhint %}

For your first event, you literally just need to:

1. Share the game link from your approval email
2. Run your event
3. Come back to the dashboard afterward to view results

That's it. Everything else is optional enhancement.

### Customizing Your Classroom (Optional)

When you're ready to personalize your tenant, you can customize classroom appearance:

#### Adding Classrooms

Navigate to the tenant dashboard and click the **"Add Classroom"** button. Provide a descriptive name and brief description to make the classroom easily identifiable.

After saving, explore the **"Class Details"** tab to further personalize your classroom. Here, you can:

* Upload a thumbnail image
* Add a banner image
* Select a color theme

This gives your classroom a unique look and feel that participants will see.

**Why customize?**

* Professional appearance for corporate training
* Brand alignment for educational institutions
* Easier identification when managing multiple classrooms
* Participant recognition and engagement

**When to customize:**

* After running 2-3 successful events
* When building an ongoing program
* If branding matters to your organization
* Never, if you don't care - plain works fine!

### Common First-Time Questions

<details>

<summary>Do I need to do anything in the dashboard before my first event?</summary>

No! Your game is already set up. Just share the game link from your approval email and run your event. You can explore the dashboard afterward.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where do I find my game link?</summary>

It's in your approval email, or navigate to: Dashboard → Your Classroom → View Modules → Your Game → Copy link

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I add participants to my classroom before the event?</summary>

You can, but it's not necessary. Participants create accounts when they first access the game link. Pre-adding is useful for tracking specific users or requiring approval.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens if I accidentally delete something?</summary>

Games and classrooms can be deleted, but participant data is preserved. Contact <support@kc7cyber.com> if you need to restore something.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do I need to create a new classroom for each event?</summary>

No! One classroom can hold multiple games. Only create new classrooms when you want to organize truly different groups (e.g., "Beginners" vs "Advanced" or "Fall 2024" vs "Spring 2025").

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I give someone else access to help manage?</summary>

Go to Users tab → Invite user → Choose permission level (Tenant Manager for full access, Classroom Manager for limited access)

</details>
