Check the requirements

There are only a few requirements to hold an event

For in-person events

Primarily, you will need a space that will comfortably accommodate the number of participants that youโ€™re expecting.

Your room should have:

  • Computers and/or laptops for each participant

  • A/V equipment that the presenter(s) can use for showing slides, display the KC7 Scoreboard, and give demonstrations, if needed

  • Wi-Fi access for presenter(s) and participants

  • Access to power outlets for participants to charge their devices

For virtual events

For virtual events, youโ€™ll need access to a video conferencing platform that supports breakout room functionality, like Zoom or Microsoft Teams. We do not recommend using the free tier of Zoom, since it does not allow breakout rooms and enforces time limits that will make it difficult for participants to stay engaged.
